Beats Give Back and Sheltair Celebrate New Music Room at Joshua House with Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

LUTZ, FL / 2026

This year marked a major milestone for Beats Give Back.

Alongside our partners at Sheltair Aviation and Friends of Joshua House Foundation, we celebrated the official ribbon cutting of the new music room at Joshua House — a space created to give foster youth access to music, creativity, healing, and self-expression.

What started as a shared vision became something real through the power of community.

Beats Give Back partnered with Sheltair to help raise funds for this project through a live fundraiser event produced in collaboration with House Hats Collective. With support from generous partners, artists, donors, and attendees, that collaboration helped bring this room to life.

Now, that vision has a home.

The new music room includes a MacBook, instruments, and creative tools that give Joshua House youth the opportunity to explore music in a hands-on, meaningful way. It is more than a room filled with equipment. It is a place for release, growth, confidence, and memory-making. A place where kids can learn, create, and simply be kids.

“The opening of our music studio at Joshua House is a dream come true” said Manny Lopez, Founder of Beats Give Back. “It’s been an incredible journey building this with so many passionate people who believe in the power of music. I hope this moment reminds others that we all have the ability to make an impact here in our community and what the power of connecting can do.”

Lisa Holland, President and CEO of Sheltair, expressed her excitement about the project, stating, "We believe that music has the power to transform lives. Our partnership with Beats Give Back has not only brought this music room to fruition but has also strengthened our commitment to supporting the youth in our community." We are especially grateful to Sheltair, whose team helped make this possible through partnership, fundraising support, and instrument donations. Their commitment to giving back played a major role in helping us create something lasting for the children at Joshua House.

We are also incredibly thankful for DeDe Grundel and the Friends of Joshua House Foundation team for believing in this mission and welcoming us into a space where this impact can continue to grow. “Cutting the ribbon marks more than opening a door to a music therapy room; it’s a symbol of hope, healing, and the power of community,” said DeDe Grundel, Executive Director at Friends of Joshua House Foundation. “With Beats Give Back, we’re not just bringing music to Joshua House; we’re bringing opportunities to foster children to explore expression, growth, and connection. Together, we're building a future where every child knows their voice matters.”

As lessons begin and the room fills with sound, this moment reflects exactly why Beats Give Back exists. Our mission has always been to break barriers for foster youth by providing access to music equipment, modern technology, meaningful education, and creative opportunity. This ribbon cutting is a reminder that when a community comes together around a purpose, real change happens.

This room is only the beginning.

To everyone who donated, partnered, performed, showed up, or supported this mission along the way, thank you. You helped create something these kids will carry with them for years to come.

And we’re not done yet.

Our next Beats Give Back event is on the horizon, and we can’t wait to share what’s next. Stay tuned for the next opportunity to show up, give back, and help us keep creating spaces like this for the youth who need it most.
